About Us
Our story begins deep in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, in the heart of California Gold Country. The year is 1986, and two, remote and isolated, forty acre gold claims were acquired by Bob. Three years later he met Lynn and
that began the inspiration for D & D Mining. Together they worked to start a enterprise that would build over the next 22 years and develop into Lady Lynn Jewelry©. Being a seasoned Gold miner, Bob began to work the claims full time. Prospecting partners would come and go, but usually Bob worked alone on the claims, while Lynn sold cars to keep a steady income. Once the gold began
to pile up Bob would try to sell to the jewelry stores up and down the 49er highway in sunny California. But the jewelers would pay only a fraction of the value of gold. Few of the jewelers were of little help with instructions (except for Chris, a rare exception), so Bob was compelled to create his own jewelry design. He was already a great weldor, and craftsman. He had built and designed tools, equipment, and work processes. Soon he would be creating one of a kind torch sculptured art that would be so unique that he would be awarded a copyright by the US Copyright office. His entire jewelry line of torch sculptured Gold (which he named after his wife) has become the basis for the next phase of our business. The natural extension of the gold mining became Lady Lynn Jewelry©.
